Ribs: Virginia City Ribs

2 Bottles beer
1/4 cup Chopped onion
1 tablespoon Butter
1/3 cup Prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Celery seed
1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
4 pounds Country-style ribs
2 Cloves garlic -- minced
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/4 cup Honey
1 teaspoon Salt
Recipe
Pour beer over ribs in large pan. Add additional beer, if needed, to fully cover ribs. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 45- 60 minutes or until tender. Drain. In a small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until tender but not brown. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes or until mixture is reduce to 3/4 cups. Grill ribs over slow coals 20-25 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning every 10 minutes.
