List of Ingredients
1/2 pound bacon -- cut into 1" pieces and fried. Reserve fat.
1 tablespoon bacon fat -- reserved from
fried bacon
3 cups thinly sliced onions
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
16 ounces canned pork and beans
16 ounces canned red kidney beans -- drained
16 ounces canned butter beans with ham
10 ounces (1 package) frozen baby lima beansRecipe
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cut bacon into 1 inch pieces, fry, drain fat and reserve appropriate measure of drippings in the pan. Stir in onions, brown sugar, garlic salt, dry mustard, and ketchup. Simmer 20 minutes. Stir in beans and half of the measure of bacon. Spoon into casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining bacon. Cover and bake for 50 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10 minutes longer. Serve hot. Makes 3 quarts.
