    List of Ingredients




    2 pounds dried navy beans, rinsed
    1-1/2 cups bacon pieces
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
    1/2 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup molasses
    1 tablespoon dry mustard
    3 to 4 teaspoons curry powder
    2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

    Recipe



    Place beans in a large bowl and cover with boiling water; let stand overnight.

    Drain beans. Place in a 5-quart crock pot; sprinkle with salt and cover with boiling water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours or until beans are tender.

    In a medium skillet, cook bacon until crisp. With a slotted spoon remove bacon. Add onion to the skillet and cook until tender.

    Add bacon, onion, and remaining ingredients to the crock pot; stir well.  Cover; cook on LOW 3 to 4 hours or until beans are tender.
