Hot: German Style Hot Spiced Wine

List of Ingredients
1 liter red wine
1 liter water
half a vanilla bean
half a cinnamon stick
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
20 cloves
3 hibiscus flowers
sugar, to taste.
Recipe
Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Add sugar to taste. Cook for another 10 minutes on a small flame, filter out the spices and serve with cheese cut into cubes, grapes, nuts and mandarin oranges. If you add 1/8 liter rum or brandy, you have a Bergsteiger-Gluehwein (mulled wine for mountaineers).
