1/4 cup fine chopped green onion
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter softened
1 cup Bisquick¨ baking mix
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter softenedRecipe
Heat oven to 425F. Mix onions, cheese and 1 tbl. butter. Mix baking mix and milk until soft dough forms. Smooth dough into ball on lightly floured surface; knead 5 times. Pat or roll dough into rectangle 8x12 inches. Spread onion mixture over rectangle to within 4 inches of one 8" side.
Beginning with plain side, fold rectangle lengthwise into thirds; flatten to 2 3/4 inches in depth. Cut crosswise into 12 thin strips. twist each strip twice. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press ends on sheet to fasten securely. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt. Bake about 10 minutes or till light brown; serve warm. Makes 12 twists.
