Old Fashioned Buttermilk Corn Bread

List of Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup lowfat sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
6 tablespoons melted butter (3/4 stick)
Recipe
Mix together dry ingredients. Mix together remaining ingredients. In a large bowl, stir together all the ingredients until mixture is just blended. Pour batter into a 9x9 inch baking pan (buttered) and spread evenly. Bake in a 350ºF oven for 25-30 minutes or until top is golden brown and a cake tester, inserted in center, comes out clean. Remove from the oven, cut into squares, and serve warm. Serves 8.
