Banana Walnut Wheat Muffins

1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups mashed banana (3 ripe)
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts, coarsely choppedRecipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease muffin cups. In a large bowl, stir together the whole-wheat flour, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar, beat in eggs. Stir in the mashed banana, milk, and vanilla. Gently stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture, stir in the walnuts. Spoon the batter into prepared muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
