Banana: Banana Walnut Whole Wheat Muffins

1 cup wheat flour
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375�F. Grease muffin cups. In large bowl, stir together the flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Stir in the mashed banana, milk and vanilla. Gently stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir in walnuts. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes, or til toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Makes 12 muffins.
