Blueberry: Michigan Blueberry Muffins

2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg or allspice
1 cup milk
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Recipe
Preheat oven to 400ºF; grease muffin cups. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon into a large bowl. In separate bowl, mix the milk, oil, and egg; add to flour mixture. Fold in blueberries. Spoon batter into greased muffin cups. Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 14 muffins. Can also make as coffee cake; spread into greased round 9" pan and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, then bake. Can also be doubled and baked in a 13 inch pan.
