Rum Eggnog Muffins

2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cups sugar
3/4 cup eggnog
1/3 cup canola oil
1/4 cup rum
1 egg
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Coarse sugar for topping Recipe
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir in egg, oil, eggnog, and rum. Spray muffin pans and fill 3/4 full. Sprinkle tops with nutmeg and coarse sugar. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. A special holiday treat that makes 24 small muffins
