    4 cups self-rising flour
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/4 teaspoon allspice
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1-1/3 cups vegetable shortening
    1 cup sugar
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 cup molasses
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 cup raisins

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350�F.� Spray 24 muffin cups with non-stick vegetable spray. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, and nutmeg; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.� Add eggs, beat until well blended.� Stir in molasses and buttermilk.� Add flour mixture, stirring until just moistened.� Stir in raisins.� Fill muffin cups one-half full. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.� Serve hot.
