1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper Recipe
Drizzle olive oil in a shallow sauce-type dish. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and dash with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Salt may also be added, if you wish.
Dip with crusty fresh Orlando Italian bread. Note: During the Great Depression, many families who could not afford the luxury of butter let their ingenuity take over. A recipe for what we know as "dipping oil" was created. Today, this same recipe is used in many great restaurants all over the world.
