Banana: Amish Banana Nut Bread

List of Ingredients
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with bananas, beating well after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Pour into well greased loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF for 45-50 minutes or until it tests done. Remove from pan while still warm.
