    1 envelope active dry yeast
    1/2 cup lukewarm water (105°F)
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 cup cottage cheese
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons instant minced onion
    2 tablespoons dill seeds
    1 tablespoon dillweed
    1/2 teaspoon oregano
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
    2-1/2 cups bread flour

    Recipe



    In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water with sugar; let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.

    In a medium saucepan, heat cottage cheese to lukewarm (105°F).  Add sugar, onion, dill seeds, dill weed, oregano, baking soda, egg, and butter; mix until well blended.  Add to yeast mixture, stirring until well blended.  Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time, beat well after each addition.  Turn out onto a lightly floured board; knead 10 times.  Return to bowl; cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled, about 1 hour.

    Spray a 1-1/2 quart casserole with non-stick vegetable spray. Punch dough down; shape into a ball.  Place in prepared casserole.  Let rise for 40 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until browned on top and loaf sounds hollow when lightly tapped.  Remove from casserole; cool completely on a wire rack.
