4 cups rolled oats
4 cups rolled wheat
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup unroasted sunflower seeds
3/4 cup frozen unsweetened. apple juice concentrat -- thawed
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup chopped dates
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup dried apple, cut into bite size pieces
1 cup slivered almonds
Recipe
Mix together oats, rolled wheat, and wheat germ. Add nuts if desired. Combine apple juice concentrate and vanilla. Blend all ingredients together; put into a 9"x13" cake pan. Bake at 275ºF for 1 hour. After taking granola out of the oven , add the dried apples, dates and raisins. Use a cold cereal or mix with nonfat plain yogurt and fruit for a delicious breakfast. Yield: 12 cups
