Multi-Grain Hot Cereal

2 Cups Water
1 Cup Apple Juice
1 Cup Quick Or Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
1/4 Cup Wheat Germ
1/2 Cup Coarsely Chopped Dried Apple
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 to 1 1/2 Cup Skim Milk

In a large saucepan, combine water, apple juice, oats, cornmeal, wheat germ, dried apple, and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat, cover, and cook the cereal, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. (The cereal should be the consistency of stiff mashed potatoes. If it becomes too stiff, stir in more water or juice.)
Add 1 cup milk to the cereal and stir until it reaches a creamy consistency, adding more milk if necessary. Spoon the cereal into serving bowls, sprinkle each with a spoonful of brown sugar, and serve. Makes 6 servings.
