Margaree Valley French Toast

List of Ingredients
5 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
8 slices porridge bread
Recipe
If porridge bread is not available, then use 1/2 inch thick slices of another brown bread. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. In a pie plate, combine oats, brown sugar and cinnamon. In a skillet, melt butter until bubbly. Dip both sides of porridge bread in egg mixture, and† then coat both sides with spiced oatmeal. Saute in butter until golden. Serve with Maple Syrup.
