Overnight French Toast

8 slices bread -- thickly sliced
6 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups lowfat buttermilk
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter -- melted and cooled
Recipe
Line a 13x9 pan with foil and heavily grease; arrange bread in pan. In med bowl, whisk eggs til blended. Whisk in sugar, buttermilk, nutmeg, cinnamon and butter (season to taste). Pour mix over bread. Turn slices to coat. Cover with plastic and let sit until liquid is absorbed. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Bake for 10 minutes. Turn bread over and bake 5-10 minutes more or until done. Freezes well - reheat in microwave or toaster.
