Coffeecake: Apple Nut Coffee Cake

1/2 cup Shortening
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sour cream
2 cups Apple finely chopped
Topping:
1/2 cup Nuts chopped
1/2 cup Brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
2 tablespoons Butter melted
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350ºF. In mixing bowl, cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream. Fold in apple. Spread batter in greased 13 x 9 x 2" baking pan or large greased bundt pan. Combine nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle nut mixture evenly over batter. Bake 350ºF for 35-40 minutes.
