Buns/Rolls: Cake Mix Sticky Buns

List of Ingredients

1 package yellow cake mix
5 cups flour
2 packages yeast
2 1/2 cups hot water

TOPPING:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup


Recipe

Combine all dry ingredients, then add hot water. Stir til mixed; do NOT overmix!! Place in oiled bowl and let rise til double. Cut dough in half. Roll out onto floured surface. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to coat evenly. Roll up and slice into 12 pieces. Place in greased pan. Repeat with second half of rolls. Let rise again until double. Bake at 375 ºF for 20-25 minutes. For topping: bring to boil butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat. Continue to boil for 5-7 minutes. Pour over hot buns and let cool slightly before serving. Can also top with chopped toasted pecans.
