    Maple Pecan Crescent Twists

    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
    3 tablespoons sugar
    1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    2 tablespoons butter -- melted

    glaze:
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    2 teaspoons milk
    1/4 teaspoon maple extract

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375ºF. Combine pecans, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Separate dough into 8 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. Brush each with margarine. Sprinkle 1 Tbl. sugar mix evenly over each, pressing in lightly.

    Start at longer side and roll to rectangle, pinching edge to seal. Cut rolls in half lengthwise. (form two strips; cut side up, overlap the strips to form a twist, then press to seal cut ends together.) Place on greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with rest of sugar. Bake at 375ºF for 10-15 minutes til golden. Blend glaze mix and drizzle over warm rolls.
