Fruit: Apple Dumplings

Crust
2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup oil
4 tbl cold water
Filling
6 apples
1 cup sugar
2 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
raisins optional
Recipe
* For crust, mix flour and salt in large bowl. Stir in oil with fork. Sprinkle water over and stir in with fork. Mix together well and roll out between two sheets of plastic wrap. (This also is a great pie crust, and I've never had it fail me...and you can re-roll it!)
* Peel and core apples. Wrap with dough and place in a 9x13 pan. (I fill mine with raisins, but if you don't like raisins, just omit!) In a sauce pan combine sugar, water and cinnamon. When sugar is dissolved, pour over apples and bake 375 degrees for 45-60 mins. until golden brown.
* Serve warm or cold and with ice cream..
