    Waffles: Butter Pecan Belgian Waffles

    List of Ingredients




    2 eggs, separated
    1-1/2 cups whole milk
    2 Tbsp baking powder
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    1/2 cup pecans, chopped

    Recipe



    1. Preheat waffle iron and spray with nonstick cooking spray before cooking the first waffle.

    2. In a bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff but not dry. In a separate bowl, food processor, or blender, combine the egg yolks, milk, baking powder, flour, and melted butter. Beat until smooth. Fold in the reserved egg whites and chopped pecans by hand.

    3. Proceed according to waffle iron manufacturer's directions.

    Garnish with pecan halves and serve with maple syrup.
