    1 1/2 cups loosely packed fresh basil leaves
    3/4 pound butter (no substitutes), softened
    1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper

    Recipe



    In a food processor, chop basil. Add butter, lemon juice and pepper; blend until smooth. May be used immediately or drop by half-tablespoons onto a cookie sheet; freeze. Remove from cookie sheet and store in freezer container or bag. Use to flavor chicken, fish, vegetables or bread. Makes about 4 dozen balls.
