    PLAIN CREME FRAICHE
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    1 tablespoon buttermilk

    SWEETENED CREME FRAICHE
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 tablespoon maple syrup
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    1 tablespoon buttermilk

    Recipe



    Combine ingredients in a small glass jar. Cover it loosely and let it sit in a warm place for 4-24 hours. When the cream has thickened to the consistency of sour cream, refrigerate. It will keep for one week in the fridge. Makes 1 cup.
