    Homemade Cultured Buttermilk

    1 c. powdered milk
    4 c. water
    1/2 c. commercial buttermilk
    1 Pinch salt

    Recipe



    Mix nonfat dry milk and water until dissolved. Do not chill. Stir in buttermilk and salt. Let stand at room temperature overnight.Stir until smooth. Chill before serving. Keep in covered containerin refrigerator. Good for cooking too. Reserve 1/2 cup for your next batch starter.
