    Pork: Honey Pork Oriental

    List of Ingredients

    2 pounds pork shoulder steaks (or chops)
    2 tablespoons oil
    1 envelope French's brown gravy mix
    3/4 cup water
    1/4 cup honey
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
    1 teaspoon ginger
    1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    4 carrots, thinly sliced
    1 medium onion, cut up
    1 green pepper, cut into squares
    cooked rice

    Recipe

    Cut pork in 1" pieces, discarding bones. Brown in oil in large skillet, stirring frequently, until brown (about 15 min.). Combine brown gravy mix, water, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and garlic salt. Add to skillet, cover and cook 20 minutes. Add the carrots and onions, cooking another 10 minutes. Add green pepper and cook another 5+ minutes, keeping pepper slightly crisp. Serve with rice.
