    Appetizer: Buny's Guacamole *

    Recipe Introduction

    This is wonderful with light salty tortilla chips. I like to give it extra kick with cayenne or roasted garlic. Season to your taste. I've also stirred in sour cream at the end with success.

    List of Ingredients

    1 ripe avocado, cut in fine dice
    1 medium shallot, minced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
    lime juice to taste
    tortilla chips, lightly salted

    Recipe

    Place minced shallot and garlic in a bowl. Add in diced avocado, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour in desired amount of lime juice (helps keep guacamole from browning and adds flavor). Mash well with a fork. Adjust seasonings to taste. (I usually add in some cayenne pepper for a little kick.) Recipe yields about 1 cup of dip. Can easily double and triple recipe as desired. Serve with tortilla chips. To prevent browning, store with avocado pit in dip.
