Spiced Pears

16 ounces pear halves
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmegRecipe
Drain pairs, reserving syrup; set pears aside. Place syrup, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add pears and simmer about 5 minutes more or until heated through. Yield: 4 servings.
