    Desserts: Baked Pears with Ginger and Honey

    List of Ingredients

    4 ripe firm bartlett pears, peeled, halved cored
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    3 tablespoons honey
    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    4 tablespoons butter

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 375¼F. Butter large ovenproof skillet. Arrange pears cut side down in skillet. Sprinkle with sugar and ginger. Mix honey and lemon juice in small bowl. Drizzle over pears. Dot with butter. Bake until juices bubble thickly and pears are tender when pierced with knife, basting occasionally with pan juices, about 15 minutes. Turn pears over. Bake 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Serve warm, or refrigerate and serve chilled. Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Makes: 4 servings
