Cookies: Ann's Ginger Snaps

Recipe Introduction
"This cookie was the #1 cookie during the 1999 Holiday Season. Crunchy on the outside - moist on the inside! I usually make a double batch"
List of Ingredients
3/4 cup butter (1 and 1/2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
1 Tblsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 and 1/2 cups flour Recipe
Cream the butter and gradually add the sugar. Beat until light. Beat in the egg and the molasses In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients with a wire whisk. Add dry ingredients little by little to creamed mixture.
Form into small balls, roll in more granulated sugar* and place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
*Stella's NOTE: I put 3/4 of a cup of sugar in a zip lock bag and toss the cookie balls in and shake bag to coat the balls.
