    Desserts-Cake: Eggnog Layer Cake

    3 tablespoons softened butter
    1/2 cup sliced almonds
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups eggnog
    1/4 cup butter, melted
    2 tablespoons rum or 1/4 tsp rum extract

    Recipe

    Generously greased Bundt pan with 3 tbl. softened butter. Press almond against sides and bottom. In large bowl, combine cake mix, nutmeg, eggs, eggnog, 1/4 cup melted butter and rum. Beat until smooth, about 4 minutes. Pour into pan. Bake at 350ºF for 45-50 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Invert to wire rack and cool completely.
