Candy: Mom's Fudge *

This will give your arms a workout -- may help to have a backup stirrer available to help! (just let them lick the mixing spoon afterwards...)
List of Ingredients
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz)
1/2 pound butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups miniature marshmallows
18 ounces chocolate chips
2 cups nuts -- chopped (optional)
Recipe
In large pan, stir together sugar, milk, butter and vanilla. Bring mix to a boil over medium low heat (until it comes to a full boil), then time exactly 11 minutes, stirring constantly. Take off heat. Add chocolate, marshmallows and nuts. Beat until marshmallows and chocolate are dissolved and mix is smooth. Pour into well buttered pans (a 9x13 pan plus a pie pan). Cool at room temperature. Cut into squares. Makes 5 lbs. Keep in tightly sealed container.
