    Bread-Sweet: Tipsy Eggnog Bread

    List of Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    2 large eggs
    1 1/4 cups eggnog
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    2 teaspoons bourbon
    1 tablespoon vanilla

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottom only of a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Set prepared pan aside. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon together and set aside. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl at high speed of electric mixer until light and frothy. Add eggnog and remaining 4 ingredients, beating at medium speed until well blended. Add flour mixture to eggnog mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened after each addition. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool loaf in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely on a wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
