Sides: Cheese & Apple Side Dish

List of Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, cut up
4 ounces sharp cheese, shredded
6 large granny smith apples, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juiceRecipe
Combine sugar, flour and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in the cheese and set aside. Combine apples, water and lemon juice, toss lightly. Spoon into a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Sprinkle cheese mixture over the sliced apple mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 for 40 minutes. Serves 6.
Note: This can also be used as a dessert.
