List of Ingredients
12 large green apples, peeled, cored, sliced
juice of 1 fresh lemon
1/4 cup raisins
1/3 cup brandy
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup light olive oil
1/3 cup maple syrup
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375ºF. In a mixing bowl, toss the apples with the lemon juice, raisins, brandy, brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon and the flour. Pile the appoles in a glass or ceramic bakign dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. mix together the remaining ingredients and cover the apples with the mixture. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and then bake for an additional 30-40 minutes until the apples are soft. Serve warm. Serves 12.
