    Desserts: Easy Harvest Apple Ring Pastry

    2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
    1 can Comstock apple fruit filling
    3/4 cup powder sugar
    2 tablespoons maple syrup
    1/4 cup toasted chopped walnuts

    Recipe

    Unroll crescent roll dough; separate into 16 triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on a greased 14" pizza pan with wide ends overlapping in center and points towards the outside. There should be a 3" diameter circle in center. Spoon fruit filling evenly over dough to within 2 1/2 inch of outside points of dough and to within 1/2 inch of center edge. Bring pints of triangles up over filling and tuck under base at center. Filling will not be completely covered. Bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine powder sugar and syrup in small bowl; mix until smooth. Drizzle over warm apple ring and sprinkle with walnuts. Serve warm. Yield: 8 servings.
