3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
2 cups milk or vegetable stock
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
2 cups cooked winter squash, mashed
salt and pepper to tasteRecipe
In saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Slowly add liquid while stirring and simmer until thickened. Stir in cheese, squash and seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes more. Pack in thermos.
