    Braised Beef Tips over Rice

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound stew meat -- small cubes
    1 clove garlic -- minced
    1/4 tablespoon shortening
    1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
    1 beef bouillon cube
    4 tablespoons flour
    1 1/4 cups boiling water
    1/4 cup water
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 cup uncooked rice

    Salt and pepper meat. Brown in shortening. Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water, add. Stir in soy sauce, garlic, and garlic salt. Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or till tender. Blend flour and water, stir gradually into meat. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Cook rice according to directions. Serve meat mixture over rice.
