    List of Ingredients




    1 pound hamburger meat
    2 slices bread -- in small pieces
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    milk
    salt and pepper
    flour

    Recipe



    Add milk to bread to moisten. Mix with hamburger and onion; add salt and pepper to taste. Shape into patties and pat with flour till covered. Fry in skillet till brown on both sides. Remove and drain. Pour off all but 4 T. oil. Add flour slowly till mixture forms a paste. Add salt and pepper while stirring constantly over medium heat. Slowly add 1 C. milk and 1 C. water. Stir while gravy thickens. Add water till preferred consistency.
