    List of Ingredients




    10 1/2 ounces beef gravy, divided
    1 pound lean ground beef
    1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
    1 taab minced onion
    1/4 teaspoon grated lemon rind
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1 can small whole new potatoes, drained -- (16 oz)
    1/4 cup finely crushed gingersnaps
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, combine 1/3 cup gravy, ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, lemon peel and ginger. Mix thoroughly. Shape into four loaves. Place in an 11x7 inch baking dish. Bake at 350ºF, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and spoon off excess fat. Arrange potatoes around loaves. Combine remaining gravy with gingersnaps, brown sugar and vinegar. Pour over meat and potatoes. Cover and bake an additional 25-35 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Yield: 4 servings.
