    8 slices bread
    butter or margarine
    1/2 pound ground beef
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    2 tablespoons chopped celery
    1 tablespoon prepared mustard
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    1 slightly beaten egg
    3/4 cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon dry mustard

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350ºF. Toast bread, butter both sides. Cook and stir meat, onion, celery, prepared mustard and 1/2 tsp salt until meat is brown and onion tender. Alternate layers of toast, meat mixture and cheese in greased baking pan. 9x9x2 inch. Mix remaining ingredients, pour over layers in pan. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Bake uncovered 30-35 minutes.
