Ground Beef & Potato Casserole

1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 envelope onion soup mix
salt and pepper
4 potatoes, peeled -- (4 to 5)
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 cup tomato juice or waterRecipe
Cook first four ingredients until pink is gone from meat. Slice potatoes into a large casserole dish. Top with ground beef mixture, then tomatoes and tomato juice or water. Cook in 350ºF oven until potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes. Serve with a salad.
