    List of Ingredients




    1/2 pound ground beef
    1/2 pound chorizo or pork sausage
    1 cup onion, chopped
    2 cloves minced or pressed garlic
    2 cans chopped green chiles drained, divided
    2 cups shredded sharp cheddar, divided
    4 eggs
    1/4 cup flour
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    In large skillet, crumble together beef and sausage. Cook over medium heat stirring til meat is browned. Add onion and garlic, cooking until onion is limp. Drain off fat. Line a 9" square baking dish with half of chiles. top with 1 1/2 c. cheese. Add meat mixture and top with remaining chiles; set aside. Beat together eggs and flour till smooth; add milk, salt and dash of hot pepper sauce. Blend well. Pour egg mixture over casserole. Bake uncovered 350ºF for 40 minutes or till knife inserted off-center comes out clean. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 c. cheese on top. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serves 6.
