    Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

    List of Ingredients

    1 chicken, stewed and cut up
    1 large bunc green onions
    1/4 cup butter
    1 clove garlic, minced
    16 ounces tomato sauce
    1 4 ounces can chopped green chiles, drained
    1 teaspoon cumin
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon oregano
    1/2 teaspoon basil
    4 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
    1 pint sour cream
    12 tortillas
    1 teaspoon sugar

    Recipe

    Set aside stewed chicken. Saute together onion, garlic, and margerine. Add tomatoe sauce, chilis, sugar, cumin, salt, oregano, basil. Simmer for 15 minutes. Mixed chicken with enough sour cream to moist it. Save the rest of the sour cream. Dip tortillas in sauce to soften them. Place a portion of chicken mixture on the tortillas and add a portion of the cheese. Roll up and place face down in greased baking dish. Do with all tortillas. Mix the rest of sauce with the rest of the sour cream and pour all over tortillas let it seep between tortillas.. Sprinkle with rest of cheese Cover and bake for 30 to 45 minutes. I like it with flour tortillas best but do not soak flour tortillas only corn tortillas.
