Scallops: Baked Scallops 2

2 sticks butter room temperature (1 cup)
1 cup bread crumbs
6 cloves garlic crushed, or less if you like
2 tablespoon minced onion
1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped
1/4 cup white wine
juice of 1/2 lemon
salt & pepper to taste
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon onions diced
2 pounds sea scallops
1/2 pound mushrooms slicedRecipe
Mix together butter, breadcrumbs, garlic, minced onion, parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 450. Grease a shallow baking dish. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and saute until soft. Add scallops and mushrooms, and salt and pepper to taste, and saute briefly. Drain off liquid. Arrange scallops and mushrooms in greased baking dish. Sprinkle butter, breadcrumb (etc.) mixture evenly over scallops and mushrooms. Bake until butter is hot & bubbly, 5 to 10 minutes.
