    Shrimp: Shrimp Etouffee

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound raw shrimp
    3 tablespoons flour
    1 small bell pepper, chopped
    1 clove minced garlic
    2 tablespoons chopped parsley
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    1 cup water
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    2 cups hot cooked rice

    Recipe

    Heat butter in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat til melted. Stir in flour and cook for 6 minutes, stirring constantly until bubbly and brown. Stir in onion, pepper, celery and garlic. Cook and stir about 5 minutes til veggies are crisp-tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except for rice. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 5 minutes til shrimp are pink. Serve over rice.
