Carbonara: Fettuccine Carbonara

1 pound fettuccine
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup light cream
6 tablespoons bacon bits
1 egg
4 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon oregano
Recipe
Cook pasta. Beat egg lightly and set aside. In saucepan over low, place butter and flour; stir constantly until thoroughly combined. Gradually add cream while stirring. Continue to stir and add cheese, egg, bacon and oregano. Simmer over low heat, uncovered, for 10 minutes til sauce thick enough to coat spoon. Toss with pasta.
