Bacon: Peas, Bacon & Ricotta with Pasta

1/2 pack frozen peas
1/4 pound bacon
1/4 pound part-skim ricotta cheese
1 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup parmesan cheese -- grated
1 pound cooked pasta
Recipe
Cut bacon into short narrow strips. Put into small saute pan and turn heat to medium. Cook until becomes very lightly browned, but not crisp, and fat melts. Pour all but 2 tablespoons of fat from pan. Put thawed peas in pan with bacon. Cook at medium heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat peas thoroughly. Put ricotta in bowl the pasta will end up in, and crumble with fork. Add the butter. Cook and drain the pasta, and put in bowl, tossing immediately with the ricotta and butter. Rapidly warm up peas and bacon, and pour entire contents of pan into pasta. Toss thoroughly and add grated parmesan and 2-3 grindings of pepper. Toss once or twice again.
