    Calzone: Italian Sausage Calzone

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 pound bulk italian sausage
    1/4 cup fine chopped onion
    1/4 cup fine diced mushrooms
    1/3 cup pizza sauce
    Quick Calzone Dough (below)
    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

    Recipe

    Heat oven to 450ºF. Cook sausage in skillet until browned, then drain. Stir in onion, mushroom and pizza sauce; keep warm. Prepare dough. Layer mozzarella cheese, sausage mixture a nd parmesan on half of circle to within 1" of edge. Brush edge of dough lightly with water. Fold dough over filling; press edge with fork to seal. Brush with egg white. Bake about 15 minutes or till golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes. Cut into wedges.

    DOUGH: 2 c. Bisquick, 1/3 c. hot water (120-130ºF), 1 tbl oil. Mix all until dough forms. Place dough on surface dusted with Bisquick; roll in Bisquick to coat. Knead dough 15-20 times or until smooth and elastic. Roll into 12" circle. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
